World U17 Hockey Challenge. – 50/50 (“Raffle”)

OFFICIAL RULES: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle. The Raffle is operated under Provincial Lottery License No. 16742 and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws.

PROCEEDS: All proceeds of the Raffle will benefit World U17 Hockey Challenge, and the programs that the World U17 Hockey Challenge support.

PRIZES: Winner will receive 50% of the total Raffle sales for a given draw. (each a “Prize”)

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: During the dates and times and other details specified below, Raffle tickets are available for purchase by anyone over the age of 18 regardless of their residence if tickets are purchased in person at the game. Online purchases available at cloud.tap5050.com if the purchaser is over the age of 18 and is located in Prince Edward Island.  All sales for a given draw will end at 10 p.m. AT the night of the draw, and a potential winner will be selected from the eligible entries. All tickets after 10 p.m. AT but before 10 p.m. AT of the following day will be eligible for the subsequent draw.

Any employees, contractors, committee members, directors or officers of the World U17 Hockey Challenge, Hockey Canada, Tap 50:50, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent and/ or “step”) of each, or any other people involved in the conduct and management of the Raffle are not allowed to purchase tickets. 

PURCHASING RAFFLE ENTRIES: The following prices and corresponding “ticket numbers” are available for purchase: 3 numbers for $5, 10 numbers for $10, 40 numbers for $20, and 200 numbers for $50

The winning ticket is drawn electronically by a TAP 50:50 representative through a random number generator , at Credit Union Place located at 511 Notre Dame St, Summerside, PE. The winning ticket number will be announced over the public address. Ticket must be presented to claim Prize and the number on the ticket must match the random generated number. If the winning ticket was purchased online, the purchaser will be contacted via telephone per the information they submit at time of online purchase. The winning number will also be posted online at hockeycanada.ca/WU175050

DETERMINATION OF OFFICIAL WINNER: World U17 Hockey Challenge shall have the sole discretion to determine whether each potential winner is an official winner of a Prize (an “Official Winner”). World U17 Hockey Challenge decisions concerning the identity of all Official Winners shall be final and binding. To become an Official Winner: (1) a Potential Winner must be eligible to participate in the Raffle under these Official Rules and must not be in violation of these Official Rules as determined in World U17 Hockey Challenge’s sole judgment; (2) that potential winner must claim the Prize by the deadline specified above; and (3) the potential winner must satisfy the World U17 Hockey Challenge that they are the rightful holders of the winning ticket number.

The potential winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification to claim the Prize. A scan of a valid provincial or federal photo identification card (i.e., driver’s license, firearm possession permit, passport, etc.) is acceptable. If it is determined that a potential winner has not satisfied the World U17 Hockey Challenge that they are an Official Winner or otherwise are eligible to receive the Prize, the World U17 Hockey Challenge will make best efforts to select another potential winner from amongst those eligible entrants for that draw. However, if this is not feasible, the Prize will be donated to the World U17 Hockey Challenge, with the approval of the relevant provincial lottery commission.

In all cases where the Prize has not been awarded within 30 days of the original draw date, the Prize will be donated to the World U17 Hockey Challenge, again pending the approval of the relevant provincial lottery commission.

AWARD OF PRIZE(S) TO OFFICIAL WINNER(S): A Prize will be awarded to the potential winner who has been designated by World U17 Hockey Challenge as an Official Winner. The Official Winner’s name will be published. GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Released Parties (defined below under “RELEASE OF LIABILITY”) are not responsible for: (1) entries which are stolen, lost, damaged, illegible, given away or no longer in the purchaser’s possession, (2) entries that have been or may have been tampered with or re-sold in violation of these Official Rules; (3) entries or payments that are delayed, misdirected, undelivered, not fully captured, or garbled as a result of any failure or problem whatsoever with the availability, functionality, operability or use of any network, server, ISP, website, computer, telephone, cable or satellite modem or connection, hand held mobile device or any other computer equipment or connection, whether or not caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by viruses, worms, or malfunctions affecting a network, server ISP or any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Raffle; (4) any other errors of any kind, whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, or electronic in nature, which relate to or are connected with the Raffle (collectively, as described in clauses (1) through (4), “Errors”), including without limitation Errors in Raffle-related materials or in the administration of the Raffle, such as Errors in processing entries, identifying potential winners, determining Official Winners, or announcing or delivering Prizes; or if any portion of the Raffle is compromised, in the World U17 Hockey Challenge’s sole judgment, by a virus, worm, bug, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the World U17 Hockey Challenge’s sole judgment, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Raffle, or the proper submission or capture of entries (collectively, a “Compromising Event”), then the World U17 Hockey Challenge reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle, and to select winners from all eligible, non-suspect entries received before the known occurrence or discovery of such a Comprising Event. All entry purchases shall be final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued by the World U17 Hockey Challenge. The World U17 Hockey Challenge has the sole and final decision on admissibility of entries and the determination of an Official Winner.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating in the Raffle, agree that the World U17 Hockey Challenge, Hockey Canada, and Tap 50:50, each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, shareholders, committee members, consultants and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for injuries, losses, cost, expenses or damages of any kind, including damages for death, personal injury, property damage.
