Showcase your community to Canada; bids are now being accepted.

Hosting a Hockey Canada event is an opportunity for a community to put itself in the national spotlight, and leave behind a lasting legacy that will help grow the game of hockey for years to come.

Every season, Hockey Canada hosts events across the country, in communities big and small, ranging from towns of 7,000 like Yarmouth, N.S., (2012 and 2013 World Junior A Challenges) to major cities of over one million, like Calgary, Alta. (2012 IIHF World Junior Championship and 2013 National Women’s Under-18 Championship). Hockey Canada seeks host communities of all sizes, who offer unique local opportunities while committing to the best overall player, fan and volunteer experience.

Bidding on a national or international event sparks an ongoing partnership between the host community and Hockey Canada. This partnership builds the foundation for which the success of the event is built on.

Hockey Canada welcomes all groups to submit bids in order to foster and promote the game of hockey in your community. We encourage all potential bidders to contact Hockey Canada with any questions regarding hosting an event, or regarding a bid application.
