Sade Sandilands opened the scoring and Stryker Zablocki scored twice—including the game-tying goal—but Canada fell 4-3 to the U.S. in shootout to close the U18 series.
Twenty-three players will wear the Maple Leaf in a three-game series against the United States in Thorold, Ontario.
Seventy players – 46 attending U18 selection camp and 24 for the development series – will take the ice in August.
Vicky Sunohara and Alison Domenico will lead Canada’s women’s U18 and development teams this season.
