Team Canada defeated the home Swiss team 6-2 at the 2004 Skoda Cup, to finish with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss.  Team Canada was the only team to finish with two wins but settled for second place, as a result of the tie-breaker, which was Slovakia’s win over Canada.  Slovakia finished with a record of 1 win and 2 ties.

Team Canada dominated most of the territorial play in the first and third period but could not solve the great goaltending of Fukufuji. Canada finished 4th position while Kazakhstan surprised the Russian Team with a 4-1 victory to take home the 2004 Nagano Cup.
