TEAM CANADA CAPTURES GOLD MEDAL Team Canada captured the gold medal at the 2003 IIHF Men’s World Hockey Championship after a 3-2 overtime win over Sweden on Sunday in Helsinki, Finland. This marks Canada’s first medal at the World Championship since 1997 when it captured a gold medal. Today’s gold medal marks Canada’s 16th gold medal in the history of the World Championship, as a stand-alone event. Canada won gold in 1931, 1934, 1935, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1950, 1951, 1958, 1959, 1961, 1994, 1997 and 2003. » more |

CANADA WINS CALGARY, AB - Canada's National Men's Team capped off a perfect 2002 Spengler Cup with a 3-2 win over the host team, HC Davos in the tournament final on Tuesday morning. The 2003 International Coaching Symposium is open to top level coaches, physicians, physiotherapists, managers and scientists from all sporting disciplines.
