Quotes:

“For us, there certainly were some individual displays tonight, like Zach Lavin playing and learning a new position, but we need to get more guys bringing it every shift throughout the lineup. Our message stays the same. It’s about being present. What happened yesterday or two days ago doesn’t matter; we have to rest, recover and focus on the new day ahead of us.”

- Head coach Russ Herrington (Unionville, Ont.) on resetting for the semifinal

“We weren’t going to go through this tournament without facing some adversity. It’s all about taking the lessons from this game, turning the page and approach tomorrow as a new day. We are in a must-win situation now and it’s important we reset and show up when the puck drops tomorrow.”

- Tyrone Henry (Ottawa, Ont.) on facing adversity for the first time

“We have a very young team, and outcomes aside we’re focusing on the little successes for ourselves as a group. We understand that the growth process for our team looks a little different than in years past and I think that’s important to keep in mind. As an older guy, you have to help the young guys learn from games like that and help each other grow and reset.”

- Captain Tyler McGregor (Forest, Ont.) on helping a young team grow
