Team Canada lost to the host team of the tournament, St. Petersburg, in their fourth and final game of the
Junior Grand Prix. The final score in the contest was 4-0. St. Petersburg’s hockey club is comprised of many
quality young players from Spartak and SKA. Team Canada is comprised of Junior ‘A’ players from across the
country. With the loss, Canada finished the tournament in 8th place. The players flew back on Monday having
enjoyed the experience playing abroad. For many players, it was their first time overseas.
