Quotes :
“Obviously you don’t want to do it – you don’t want to be giving up the lead. The one big takeaway for me coming out of this week is finding different ways to win instead of just your typical way. It’s not always going to be smooth where you have the lead from the start, but us finding a way to have the lead, give it up and then get it back that is stuff you can draw on moving forward.”
- Head coach Troy Ryan (Spryfield, N.S.) on battling back after giving up a two-goal lead

“To be honest, I think it’s just [the way we’ve played]. We try to focus on ourselves, obviously it’s going to get heated and get intense, we all know that, but that’s how the game gets better every time. Both teams train for the same thing and obviously we came out on top but now we have to move on and know where we have to get better and we’ll focus on that when we get back to Calgary.”
- Poulin on the key to success in the first two games

“We have a lot of confidence, and we’ve been working on our power play a lot these last couple of months. I think it starts from the power play at the world championship. We really built off that to see what we could work on, see how we could evolve and it’s really paying off right now.”
- Fillier on the team’s special teams play
