CANADIAN PLAYERS VISIT SCHOOLS
AHEAD OF WJAC

With the days counting down until the first puck drops at the 2009 World Junior A Challenge, players from Canada East and Canada West went back to school on Monday, visiting students at Parkside Elementary School in Summerside.

Parkside is the oldest school in Canada, first constructed in 1879.

The players were greeted by principal Janet Cameron before meeting with students, answering questions, reading and taking part in line soccer in the school’s gymnasium.

Despite Canada East being this year’s ‘home’ team, the students did not pick sides, instead leaving the players with one clear message – GO CANADA GO!"
