TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – LONDON JR. KNIGHTS
On top of the Alliance is a familiar position for the London Jr. Knights; they enter this year’s playoffs looking for their fifth league championship in seven years, and they already know they’ll appear in the TELUS Cup regionals for the sixth time in that span – they host the regional tournament from March 28-April 3. While the offence was impressive - the Knights scored 154 goals in 35 games, good for second in the league – it was the defence that stole the show, allowing just 77 goals, 17 less than any other team. Stuart King was London’s offensive star, racking up 40 points in 32 games, good for sixth in the Alliance, while netminders Justin Tugwell and Craig Wood were second and third, respectively, in goals against average at 2.08 and 2.12.
