Head Coach/GM – Ian MacInnis Record – 44W 10L 1OTL (89 points)
Why They’re No. 3 The Colts have sat atop the Central Canada Hockey League for much of the season, and currently hold a
five-point advantage over the Pembroke Lumber Kings, who are No. 10 in this week’s national rankings in their
quest for an unprecedented five straight league championships. The Colts, who hosted the 2008 RBC Cup, ice
the CCHL’s second-highest scoring offence, paced by Jacob Laliberte, who is running away with the league
scoring title – he’s got 56 goals and 122 points in just 55 games, and sits 19 points ahead of Pembroke’s
Tyler Tosunian. In goal, Pete Karvouniaris backstops the league’s top defence; the netminder has already set
the CCHL record for wins in a season (he’s got 37), and leads the way in goals against average (2.10) and
save percentage (.936). |
