On May 13th, Canada’s National Junior A Champions will have the chance to hoist the RBC Cup in Prince George, BC.

And, between now and then, fans in northern B.C. will get the chance to do the same, thanks to the RBC Trophy Tour.

The RBC Trophy Tour kicks off on Monday at the RBC Branch in Quesnel and, over the next month, host committee members will take the trophy to several RBC branches, including those in Prince Rupert, Kitimat and Vanderhoof.

“It’s fantastic that this trophy has been established as it will give fans across the region a sense of the excitement that is already building in Prince George,” says host committee co-chair Dan Rogers. “Many of the Prince George Spruce Kings (the host team at the RBC Cup) come from northern communities and this is a great chance for their families and friends to see what they will be pursuing beginning on May 5th.”

The RBC Cup runs from May 5-13 in Prince George and will feature five teams – representatives from the Central, East, West and Pacific regions, along with the host Spruce Kings.

As mentioned, the Spruce Kings boast a number of players from northern B.C. Zach Davies, Ryan de Vries and Darcy Huisman are from Smithers, Ryan Hill calls Fort St. John home, and Jordan Inglis is from 100 Mile House.

Brayden Penner’s hometown of Quesnel will be the first stop on the trophy tour. And Prince George, the hometown of Curt Morrison and Vinny Muchalla, will be Stop No. 2 on March 28th.

"RBC is thrilled to help bring the excitement of RBC Royal Bank Cup to communities throughout northern B.C.," said Dale Freschi, RBC regional vice president, B.C. north. "We're extending an open invitation for people to visit the RBC branches where the Cup will be touring to get a first-hand glimpse of the trophy that will be raised aloft by the winning team on May 13."

Following are the communities which will be a part of the RBC Trophy Tour.
