PACIFIC 1 – ONTARIO 5 Jeff Skinner’s early second period goal stood up as the game winner as Ontario claimed gold for the second year in a row, and the seventh time overall, defeating Pacific 5-1 in Sunday’s final game at the Alberni Valley Multiplex. Tyler Seguin, John McFarland, Steven Shipley and Erik Gudbranson also scored for Ontario, which became the first time since the United States in 2002 to successfully defend its gold medal. |

WEST 2 – UNITED STATES 4 Jacob Fallon scored a hat trick and Shane Sooth added three assists as the United States won bronze with a victory over West. It is the fifth time in the last seven U17 tournaments that the Americans have taken home a medal. |
